Refining the skill of testing and research

This sculpture celebrates the grid at its most destructive configuration.
This unit in my Ma Degree, allowed students the opportunity to discover working methodologies. We were assigned a shape to experiment with.
By objectively testing the physics and the features of a square I was able to make unbiased discoveries. I discovered through rotation that the square contrary to popular belief, is the most destructive shape. When squares are at a 45° angle in relation to each other, they create intricate areas of wastage space.

This book was created alongside the sculpture to show design thinking, experimentation and iteration
